MEET THE EXPERTS:
CATHERINE BAYFIELD – Selling in to regional, national and international TV; what makes a successful B roll; placing online video content online; media training.
Catherine can talk you through all the ingredients you need to secure coverage on television – regional, national and international. She knows who and when to target key decision makers and the demands TV news will make on a client. Key to a successful TV interview is having a good spokesperson - Catherine can answer any questions you might have regarding what a client should do, say and look like!
Catherine’s knowledge partly stems from when she worked as a television journalist. Her last post as a journalist was Head of Planning at London Tonight, but she has also worked as a Senior Output Producer at GMTV and Sky News.
KEREN HAYNES – Radio days; research for radio; business stories that work for radio and television; video production for online and TV.
Keren can help brainstorm ideas that will get you coverage on radio, and talk you through every element of a radio campaign from commissioning research and 3rd party spokespeople, to securing coverage and evaluation. She is particularly successful at securing coverage on business programmes – anything from Radio 4’s Today programme, to the Jeff Randall Show and CNBC.
Keren is a Director at Shout! Communications and oversees media relations and production projects. Her expertise in radio comes from a previous career when she was employed by the BBC as a Senior Broadcast Journalist. Based in the BBC’s Business Unit, you could have heard her report and present on programmes like Radio 4’s Today programme, Radio 5 Live’s Drivetime and Radio 2’s Johnny Walker Show. Keren has also worked for ITN, Sky News and Reuters TV.
CHRIS PEPPER – The bigger picture – boosting your broadcast PR campaign beyond radio; producing and placing online video content.
Chris can help you maximise the potential of your campaign by looking beyond the radio interviews to include podcasts, online video, webcasts and webchats. Whether it’s making the most of a celebrity spokesperson, boosting your client’s social media following or improving SEO, Chris can help you to make the most of your media.
Chris is Shout! Communications’ Associate Director. A former ITN radio news editor with 20 years’ journalistic experience under his belt on radio, TV online and in print, Chris knows what makes journalists tick.
KIM SZALAVICZ – Video and audio production; B roll for television; online video content; viral videos; corporate videos;
Kim can answer any technical questions but she can also help brainstorm any ideas you might need prior to beginning a video production. She knows what’s needed for a B roll for television and she can explain what makes for successful online video content.
In her 7 year career as a camera operator and editor Kim has worked across a wide range of brands, and produced an equally diverse mixture of films, videos and online content. Whether it’s a technical query you have, or a need to know what makes good visuals, Kim will always come up with a solution!
